Winter weather protocol
With the winter weather just around the corner we would like to take this opportunity to remind passengers of our protocol.
What happens if adverse weather is forecasted?
The County Councils will monitor the local weather forecast and alert the call centre and the bus operator as soon as the Councils are aware of any adverse weather that could affect the operation of the Bwcabus service. In this situation the call handlers will inform any new callers booking a service that their journey could be affected by the adverse weather and that there is a risk that the service may not be able to run or access the area.
What happens if adverse weather arrives without warning?
The bus operator will contact the drivers to obtain information on the local conditions before the start of service. The bus operator will make a decision whether the service is able to run. If services are withdrawn, the call centre will notify all passengers booked in the schedule that the service will not run due to the adverse weather conditions.
Every effort will be made to ensure disruptions are kept to minimum. Passenger safety is however very important to us. We kindly request all passengers ensure the call centre has your up to date home and mobile numbers to ensure we can contact you regarding your journeys.
